NextAge Opens Headquarters in Manaus and Strengthens Its National Presence

Brazilian software engineering and AI company opens a unit in the Amazonian capital alongside FPFtech, in an industrial hub that posted R$ 227.67 billion in revenue in 2025 and reinforces the company’s national presence.

NextAge opened its new headquarters in Manaus in October. The unit was created in partnership with FPFtech and the Eldorado Institute, and expands the national presence of a company that was founded in Curitiba in 2007 and has already delivered more than 600 projects in 13 countries.

The opening follows the company’s strategy of being close to its clients and to the places where technology is built. This signals a clear expansion of NextAge’s partner portfolio, which includes brands such as XP, WEG, Scania, Sicredi and Positivo, served with custom software, artificial intelligence agents and IT outsourcing services. The expansion is built on two models created by the company itself: Outsourcing 2.0, which combines technical vetting, active management by tech leads and cultural alignment with the client, and consulting and development of AI Agents, to automate processes and bring more efficiency to businesses.

“With the Manaus headquarters, we expand our ability to serve companies in every region of Brazil with the same quality, governance and predictability that have always defined our deliveries,” says Marcelo Ferri, CEO of NextAge.

In practice, the Manaus headquarters will contribute to the region’s technology ecosystem. By setting up its own operation in the Amazonian capital, NextAge gains a physical presence in a region that concentrates a significant share of the country’s industrial output and research and development activities.

A Partnership with Local Roots

NextAge enters Manaus hand in hand with an institution that knows the territory. FPFtech is a private technology center for research and development in software and hardware, also active in technology training, social responsibility, biotechnology and sustainability. With 27 years of history, it has accumulated more than R$ 1 billion in executed projects and brings together more than 360 professionals, including PhDs, master’s degree holders and specialists, in the city’s Industrial District.

Its portfolio ranges from electronic systems and Industry 4.0 to hospital healthcare, education and Amazonian bioeconomy. The institution also trains talent, with technical, undergraduate and extension courses, and states on its website that it has expanded its capacity to develop artificial intelligence with the NVIDIA DGX H200 platform. It is a profile that speaks directly to NextAge’s software and AI agenda.

“Manaus combines a robust industry with a growing agenda in data, automation and artificial intelligence. It is the right environment for NextAge to collaborate and evolve alongside the region’s companies,” says Marcelo Ferri, CEO of NextAge.

For NextAge, working with FPFtech and the Eldorado Institute means joining an already structured ecosystem of research, education and industry.

Why Manaus?

The choice of the city is backed by the numbers of the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM). In 2025, the hub recorded the highest revenue in its history, R$ 227.67 billion, up 11.02% from R$ 205.07 billion in 2024 and the fourth consecutive record, according to data from the Superintendency of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (Suframa) released by Portal Amazônia. The year ended with 553 companies in operation and another 170 projects approved for implementation in the coming years.

The pace continues in 2026. From January to August, revenue reached R$ 165.12 billion, an increase of 10.47% over the same period of 2025, reported Agência Gov. The IT goods subsector leads with 21.82% of the total, and the IT goods segment of the Electrical and Electronics Hub grew 15.11% year to date. In the job market, the average from January to November 2025 was 131,444 direct workers, according to Portal Amazônia. Over the next three years, Suframa projects more than 200 new factories, among approved and in-progress projects, as reported by Fenacon.

Technology holds a central place in this model. IT goods manufacturers established in the Free Trade Zone receive tax incentives in exchange for investments in research and development (R&D), under the Informatics Law, whose rules for the region were updated by Decree 10,521/2020. A resolution by the Committee for Research and Development Activities in the Amazon kept the digital economy among the hub’s priority R&D programs, with topics such as the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, smart cities, big data and cloud computing, and advanced manufacturing, which includes the use of sensors, data and artificial intelligence in production line automation, as reported by Convergência Digital.

It is in this scenario, with an expanding industry and growing demand for automation, data and AI, that NextAge sets up its new operation.
